About the Role
Kettering Health Washington Township in Centerville is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to patients in collaboration with other health care providers. The RN is accountable for professional development and practice within the scope defined by law, acting as a patient advocate for safe care, delegation, and performance improvement.
The delivery of nursing care within the Kettering Health Network reflects the missions, vision, values, and philosophies of the organization and nursing departments.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide nursing care to patients in all settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Act as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care, including delegation of care.
- Participate in performance and practice improvement activities.
- Maintain accountability for professional development and practice within legal scope.
Requirements
- Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) if a new graduate nurse.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire).
- A nurse returning to the acute care setting after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications as determined by unit scope of practice.
Schedule
Part-Time, 12-hour night shifts.
