Active RN license in the state of practice.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (may be completed during orientation if applicable).
Minimum 2 years of Telemetry/Stepdown/PCU experience preferred.
ICU experience is a plus.
Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac care, and progressive care patients preferred.
Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed.
Experience with TruBridge EMR/charting system preferred.
- Assess, monitor, and care for patients requiring telemetry and progressive care services.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Float to Medical-Surgical units as assigned to support patient care needs.
- Adhere to all facility policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention guidelines.
