About the role
The Med A department at Piedmont Athens is seeking an energetic medical-surgical nurse to join their dynamic team. They provide high-quality, evidence-based care on a fast-paced 30-bed Med-Surg unit.
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
- Functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
- Maintains standards of practice, coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
- Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of patient needs. Extenuating circumstances may determine a need for lower or higher ratios.
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
- No experience required. New graduates of a nursing program are eligible.
- Required: RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure.
- Required: BCLS - Basic Life Support.
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum).
