Location Moab, UT Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule/Shift Anticipated schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off. Night shifts (6PM to 6AM). Job Description Join our Medical Surgical team at Moab Regional Hospital! As a Registered Nurse in this rural setting, you will perform a wide range of nursing duties, providing direct and indirect patient care across various demographics, including post-partum neonates and geriatric patients. Your responsibilities will encompass medical and surgical care, high acuity, rehabilitative, skilled, and pediatric care. This position offers a unique opportunity to expand your skill set due to the diverse patient population and their varying needs. You may also have the chance to cross-train in the Emergency Department or PACU, along with opportunities in post-partum care and infusion and wound therapies. ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical surgical unit. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team. Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Provide education and support to patients and their families. Required ExperienceCurrent, unencumbered Utah or compact state RN license. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 1-2 years of medical/surgical experience preferred. Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within one year of hire. Certifications/LicensureCurrent RN license in Utah or compact state. Current BLS certification required. ACLS and PALS certifications must be completed within one year of hire. Willingness to earn NRP certification and provide patient care appropriate to certification within one year of hire.
