About the Role
The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care, assessment, planning, and coordination during a patient's hospital stay, utilizing a patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities
- Perform age-appropriate assessments, reassessments, and document findings accurately.
- Develop, coordinate, and evaluate individualized care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, lab data, and physician orders.
- Deliver and document nursing interventions, including medication administration, patient education, and discharge planning.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, ensuring safety and quality care.
- Provide specialized care such as restraint management, pain control, and abuse assessment, adhering to policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, ensuring confidentiality and service excellence.
- Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and unit goals.
- Maintain safety, infection control standards, and professional accountability.
- Collaborate with colleagues, mentor new staff, and uphold a respectful work environment.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, certifications, and mandatory training requirements.
Requirements
- Licensed as an RN in applicable states.
- BLS certification.
- Demonstrates technical competency, adaptability, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to provide age-specific care and work effectively in a team environment.
