About the Role

The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care, assessment, planning, and coordination during a patient's hospital stay, utilizing a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

  • Perform age-appropriate assessments, reassessments, and document findings accurately.
  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate individualized care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, lab data, and physician orders.
  • Deliver and document nursing interventions, including medication administration, patient education, and discharge planning.
  • Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, ensuring safety and quality care.
  • Provide specialized care such as restraint management, pain control, and abuse assessment, adhering to policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, ensuring confidentiality and service excellence.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and unit goals.
  • Maintain safety, infection control standards, and professional accountability.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, mentor new staff, and uphold a respectful work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, certifications, and mandatory training requirements.

Requirements

  • Licensed as an RN in applicable states.
  • BLS certification.
  • Demonstrates technical competency, adaptability, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to provide age-specific care and work effectively in a team environment.
