Roles & Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Unit Capacity: 24 Beds, one lead-lined room suitable for radiation isolation.
  • Population Served: Patients with the following diagnoses: Solid tumors (most frequently lung, breast, colon), Leukemia, Lymphomas, Myeloma, Gynecologic malignancies (primarily ovarian and cervical), Cancer symptom management, Febrile Neutropenia, Uncontrolled pain, Sickle Cell Anemia, Hematologic diseases, Post-operative Mastectomy, Post-operative Gynecological Oncology, Med/Surg overflow.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
  • Minimum of 1 years of Experience as a Travel Register Nurse.
