RN - Medical/Oncology

About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) position in the medical‑surgical unit with an oncology focus at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. PeaceHealth is a not‑for‑profit faith‑based health system serving Washington, Oregon, and Alaska with approximately 16,000 caregivers, a multi‑specialty medical group of over 900 providers, and 10 medical centers. The Southwest campus has 450 licensed beds and serves over 280,000 patients annually, making it one of the largest employers in Clark County. This is a part‑time, night‑shift role; shifts are 9 or 12 hours and include rest and meal‑break coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
• Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
• Maintain professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection‑prevention programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current Washington or multistate RN license required by date of hire.
• American Heart Association/American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers required by date of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.

Pay

The general salary range is $56.92–$86.09 per hour, with the actual rate dependent on terms of employment.
