Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintain professional accountability for the provision of care to assigned patients.
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct‑care givers.
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.
• Provide comprehensive, interdisciplinary care to adult surgical patients on the surgical floor, including but not limited to general surgery, bariatric surgery, total joint replacement, fracture repair, and urological procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or successful completion of a BLS course within 30 days of hire.

Pay

Premium Night Shift Sign‑On Bonus: Graduate Nurse $10,000; Experienced Nurse $13,000.
