RN Med Surg
9 Center is a 24-bed Med/Surg unit at Butterworth Hospital that cares for general medical and surgical patients. Employees are drawn to the variety of patients and the team environment, becoming competent in caring for a large array of both surgical and medical patients. The team is known for expertise in nasogastric tubes, urinary catheters and urologic care, managing enteral and parenteral feeding, and managing the care of wounds, ostomies, tubes, and drains.

Responsibilities
- Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.
- Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.

Requirements
- Associate’s in Nursing (Required).
- Bachelor’s in Nursing (Required within 5 years).
- Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required).
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required within 90 days).
Schedule
- Employment Type: Part-time.
- Shift: Night (19:00–07:30).
- Weekly Scheduled Hours: 24.
- Days Worked: Variable.
- Weekend Frequency: Every other weekend.
