RN – Med Surg | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift | Casper, WY Contract: 13 Weeks Start Date: October 19, 2026 End Date: January 16, 2027 Shift: Nights | 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM Schedule: 3x12s | 36 hours/week Openings: 1 We are hiring an experienced Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Casper, Wyoming. This opportunity is ideal for a strong Med Surg nurse who is comfortable managing multiple acute-care patients in a hospital environment and can work independently while collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med Surg patients in an acute-care hospital setting.Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patients for changes in condition.Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to orders and facility protocols.Monitor vital signs, pain levels, laboratory results, and other relevant clinical indicators.Recognize and promptly escalate changes in patient condition.Provide wound care and other nursing interventions within scope of practice.Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, ancillary departments, and other healthcare professionals.Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, disease management, and discharge instructions.Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.Prioritize care effectively in a fast-paced Med Surg environment. Requirements Active RN license eligible for the assignment.Recent Med Surg RN experience in an acute-care hospital.BLS certification required.ACLS certification required.Wyoming DFS clearance required.Must successfully pass the required EKG examination.Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical judgment skills.Ability to manage multiple patients and competing priorities.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Must be comfortable working 12-hour night shifts.Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.Must be available for the full contract period.
