Responsible for

  • Leadership and readiness functions for the Resource Management Center (RMC) float pool
  • Ensuring a stable, engaged, and high-performing workforce
  • Partnering with RMC operations leaders to align staffing supply with system demand
  • Providing operational coverage for staffing deployment and centralized scheduling
  • Participating in required on-call rotation and serving as an escalation resource

What You Will Do

  • Leads day-to-day people management for float pool associates
  • Executes retention and engagement strategies
  • Maintains turnover risk and implements action plans
  • Onboards and integrates new float pool hires
  • Builds relationships with unit leaders and nursing operations
  • Provides operational coverage for staffing deployment and centralized scheduling
  • Participates in required on-call rotation
  • Partners with Clinical Education Services and facility leaders
  • Aids in hiring and developing workforce
  • Promotes awareness and ensures compliance with safety standards

Education Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing

Experience Qualifications

  • Required: 3-5 years General nursing or clinical practice
  • Preferred: Progressive leadership experience

Skills And Abilities

  • Demonstrated skill in personnel management and interpersonal relations
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and maintain relationships with individuals and groups
  • Demonstrated knowledge of staffing, scheduling, and productivity standards
  • Skilled in negotiating with and between individuals and groups
  • Ability to plan schedule tasks, projects, and maintain workflow control
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing long-range plans and programs
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and hospital scheduling systems

Licenses and Certifications

  • Registered Nurse, Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing

Physical Demands

  • Light work - up to 25 lbs. occasionally and up to 10 lbs. frequently
  • Close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision
  • Exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous or poisonous materials
  • Ability to react quickly to emergency situations
