About the Role

You are responsible for the nursing care of the patients on your shift.

You follow the Comprehensive Care Plan for your patients and assist the Unit Manager with thorough and accurate documentation in the patient record when needed.

You supervise the direct resident care personnel on your shift.

Responsibilities

  • Follow nursing policies and procedures.
  • Administer medication, possible side effects, treatment administration, local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to resident care.
  • Show comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices, physical, psychological, social and medical needs of residents.
  • Understand and adhere to organizational structure and duties of employees under supervision of unit manager.
  • Show competent in supervision and leadership.
  • Show a caring attitude and observe closely.
  • Foster and maintain a good working relationship with other staff.
  • Show good judgement and emotional stability.
  • Show ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

  • Currently licensed and registered to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Indiana.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment process and screening.
  • Pass the physical examination given in behalf of gainful employment within the facility.
  • Show professional manner and appearance.

Job Knowledge

Nursing policies and procedures.

Administration of medication, possible side effects, treatment administration, local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to resident care.

Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices.

Physical, psychological, social and medical needs of residents.

Organizational structure and duties of employees under supervision of unit manager.

Caring attitude.

Observant.

Good judgement and emotional stability.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Benefits

$22,500 sign-on bonus over a 3-year contract.
