About the Role

As a Charge Nurse at Miller’s, you are responsible for the nursing care of the patients on your shift. You follow the Comprehensive Care Plan for your patients and assist the Unit Manager with thorough and accurate documentation in the patient record when needed. You supervise the direct resident care personnel on your shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients on your shift following the Comprehensive Care Plan.
• Assist the Unit Manager with thorough and accurate documentation in the patient record.
• Supervise direct resident care personnel on your shift.
• Administer medication and understand possible side effects and treatment administration.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to resident care.

Requirements

• Currently licensed and registered to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Indiana.
• Pass the pre-employment process and screening, including a physical examination.
• Professional manner and appearance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and the physical, psychological, social, and medical needs of residents.
• Competent in supervision and leadership.
• Caring attitude and observant nature.
• Ability to foster and maintain good working relationships with other staff.
• Good judgment and emotional stability.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing policies and procedures.
• Understanding of the organizational structure and duties of employees under the supervision of the unit manager.

Schedule

Weekend Option/Night Shift (6pm-6am)
