About the role
The LPN/RN Floor Supervisor oversees and operates a specific floor, ensuring the highest level of resident care and compliance with standards.
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing leadership over the nursing care team for assigned floor
- Consults regularly with the Director of Nursing regarding issues impacting floor operations
- Ensures facility standards, policies, and procedures are followed
- Provides staff education and re-education when needed
- Affords assistance with employee issues and disciplinary actions
- Affords assistance with new employee orientation
- Affords assistance with conflict resolution involving staff and families
- Affords assistance with in-services and communication of facility employee information
- Maintains floor compliance with State and Federal regulations
- Affords assistance with compliance standard education and re-education
- Affords assistance with facility audits as assigned
- Affords participation in Quality Assurance/Improvement (QAPI)/Quality Improvement (QI) programs and initiatives
- Affords assistance with Care Plan updates
- Affords assistance with documentation completion by charge nurses, CMTs, and CNAs
- Reviews admission orders for completion and accuracy
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current Missouri RN or LPN license in good standing
- Previous supervisor experience preferred
