Hometown Pediatric – Morristown, a division of Summit Medical Group, is seeking an experienced RN, LPN, or CMA/RMA to join their practice. This is a full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences.
  • Record vital signs of patients, including pulse, blood pressure, height, and weight.
  • Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and Holter monitor applications.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, administer medications, and conduct patient education.
  • Handle phone nursing duties, including triaging, pre-certs, referrals, calling in prescriptions, and related tasks.
  • Perform clerical duties to support physicians, such as contacting patients regarding test results.
  • Pull and prepare patient records for physician review as needed.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently using clinical time slots.
  • Maintain stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms and common work areas daily.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance programs, as well as state and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA).
  • Follow site-specific protocols and expectations.
  • Perform duties professionally while maintaining a courteous and cooperative manner with coworkers, management, and the public.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality both internally and externally.
  • Actively participate in site-level Quality Improvement Activities, contributing to performance evaluations and implementation of improvement measures.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervisors, site managers, physicians, or administrative staff.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited program in practical nursing, registered nursing, or medical assisting.
  • Current Tennessee RN license, Practical Nursing License, or national certification in Medical Assisting.
