RN, LPN, EMT or CMA/RMA (Part Time) - Summit Medical Group on Parkwest

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences.
• Record vital signs of patients, including pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.
• Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors, and similar tasks.
• Assist physicians with procedures, administer medications, and conduct patient education.
• Handle phone nursing duties, including triaging, pre‑certifications, referrals, and calling in prescriptions.
• Perform clerical duties necessary for physicians to see patients; contact patients regarding test results or other related reasons as directed.
• Pull and prepare patient records for physicians as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments efficiently using clinical time slots.
• Maintain stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms and common work areas on a daily basis.
• Adhere to established company policies, corporate compliance program, and state and federal regulations such as OSHA and HIPAA.
• Follow site‑specific protocols and expectations.
• Perform duties in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward co‑workers, management, and the public.
• Maintain strict confidentiality both internally and externally.
• Actively participate in site‑level Quality Improvement Activities, contributing to evaluation and implementation of improvement measures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor, Site Manager, physician, or administrative staff.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited program in practical nursing or medical assisting.
• Current Tennessee RN license, Practical Nursing license, or Nationally Certified Medical Assistant credential.
