Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents. They collaborate with residents, families, and other interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care. They care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. They coordinate care, assess residents, educate residents, and perform various other nursing interventions. They may serve as charge nurses and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel.

They provide adequate assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care and service concerns. They function within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Department Details

Active participant of the Nebraska Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program that offers monetary incentives to select nursing professionals, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, in exchange for a service commitment to work in a rural county for a 5-year period.

Pay

$32.25 - $48.00 per hour
$20,000 Sign On Bonus!!

Full time
Weekly Hours: 40.00
Shift: 12 Hours - Night Shifts
