About the Role
Provides unit-based leadership, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff to ensure high-quality patient care and safety. Supervises nursing and ancillary personnel, manages staffing based on patient acuity, and evaluates staff performance. Promotes a patient and family-centered care environment, addressing cultural diversity and individual needs. Ensures compliance with safety standards, quality measures, and hospital policies through participation in performance improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develops and oversees clinical services, coordinating care plans and team communication.
- Addresses patient care needs, investigates concerns, and implements improvements to enhance satisfaction.
- Monitors and maintains unit safety, equipment, and cleanliness, and manages staffing and scheduling efficiently.
- Participates in staff coaching, discipline, hiring, and termination decisions.
- Works with facility services to ensure a safe, operational environment and manages resource utilization within budget constraints.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or related experience; Master’s preferred.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FHM necessary.
