RN Lead - ICU, Full-Time, Night Shift
Role Overview
The position involves providing unit-based leadership in a healthcare setting, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, physicians, and staff to ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care that prioritizes safety and satisfaction. Responsibilities include supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, coordinating care plans, and fostering a patient and family-centered environment that respects cultural diversity.
Key Duties
- Supervise and direct staff activities, ensuring effective patient care and team performance.
- Assess staffing needs, assign personnel based on patient acuity and skills, and manage schedules to optimize resources.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensure compliance with safety standards, and promote patient safety.
- Conduct rounds, address patient and family feedback, and implement systems to improve care experiences.
- Manage department operations, including equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and staff performance evaluations.
Qualifications & Skills
Required: Bachelor's Degree in nursing, RN licensure, supervisory experience, and Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications.
Preferred: Master's Degree, clinical specialty or nursing administration certifications, CPR certification, and additional experience.
