RN - Lead - Cardiac Cath Lab

About the role

Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla is seeking a Lead RN to support the Cardiac Cath Lab Department. The Prebys Cardiovascular Institute features an advanced cardiac catheterization lab offering 24/7 emergency and elective care. This position is part of the region's largest cardiovascular program with six specialized cath labs, one electrophysiology lab, and a six-bed recovery area.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients before and after procedures
• Administer medications
• Auxiliary physicians during catheterization procedures (scheduled and emergency)
• Angioplasties, pacemaker implantation, and other cardiac procedures
• Provide direction to members of the patient care team

Requirements

• 3 years recent experience as an RN in the Cath Lab, ICU, or ED
• Current CA RN License
• BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Positive behaviors

Qualifications

• Preferred: 5 years Cath Lab experience
