About the role
The Staff Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for the management and delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process. May be required to float to other units or participate in on-call status. This position requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals.
Mental Health staff must be able to assist with physical restraint of patients, utilizing the identified Behavior Management Technique System. Additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements may apply. Moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections, communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals. Potential for bodily injury related to lifting and workplace violence incidents. Must follow universal safety precautions. Exposed to constant interruptions, noise, disagreeable odors, and assorted chemicals.
Responsibilities
- Assessment and re-assessments of patients
- Development of the plan of care
- Implementation of appropriate patient care interventions
- Evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions
- Supervision and coordination of licensed and non-licensed personnel in patient care
- Provision of guidance and mentorship to non-licensed personnel and students, as appropriate
- Reporting to the appropriate manager, director, or vice president
Requirements
- 2 years of RN experience
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- Other certifications and competencies required based on service line skill
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
For Hospice and INTEGRIS Mental Health roles: Must operate an INTEGRIS-owned or personal vehicle, requiring a current Oklahoma State Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier.
