About the Role

Join Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital, a proud Magnet Hospital awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, recognized for professional nursing practice. The Level III Labor and Delivery Unit assists in bringing over 4,800 newborns into the world annually and includes a high-risk antepartum area with nine designated beds, a Cord Blood Center (CBC), and a birthing tub.

As an RN, you will provide exceptional care from admission to discharge, supported by education in comprehensive electronic fetal monitoring, breastfeeding support, and Kangaroo Care. Work alongside a dedicated team of Maternal-Fetal Physicians and Certified Nurse Midwives.

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., with on-call requirements every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care
• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions
• Evaluate, update, and revise plans of care to achieve expected outcomes
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs
• Educate patients and families using culturally appropriate materials
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing protocol

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• In-patient bedside patient experience
• Pediatric experience
• Labor & Delivery experience

Physical Requirements

• Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Corrected vision and hearing to normal range
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids
• Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and negligible to 10 pounds constantly to move objects

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay

Hourly pay range for new hires: $35.50 – $55.60. Actual compensation will consider work history, experience, skill set, and education. This range does not include shift differentials, overtime, or the value of benefits (e.g., healthcare, dental, vision, retirement contributions).
