BLS
ACLS
NRP (PREFERRED- MUST GET W/IN 6 MONTHS)
Fetal Monitoring (PREFERRED- MUST GET W/IN 6 MONTHS)

Floatation Requirement

If needed, float to Nursery & Postpartum.

Experience/Qualifications

• Current RN license with specialization in labor and delivery
• Minimum 2 years experience in labor and delivery nursing
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
• Strong ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations
• Excellent communication skills for patient and family education
• Understanding of hospital policies and safety protocols
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate patient records
• Willingness to participate in performance reviews and feedback sessions

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns
• Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs during labor
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Assist in emergency situations and perform life-saving procedures
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on childbirth and postpartum care
• Participate in continuous professional development and training
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and reports
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
• Support a culture of growth and learning within the team
• Evaluate and improve patient care processes and outcomes
• Engage in performance reviews and feedback sessions for personal growth
