About the role

Registered Nurse position in the Labor and Delivery department at Cambridge Hospital (CHA Cambridge Hospital), full-time, night shift (1900‑0700), 36 hours per week, with every‑other‑weekend and every‑other‑holiday requirements, no on‑call duty. Represented by MNA Cambridge union.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing assessment and care of the mother through antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
• Provide ongoing assessment and care of the mother and newborn.
• Provide education from antenatal to immediate postpartum period.
• Orchestrate and initiate discharge planning and follow‑up care for mother and newborn.
• Participate in ongoing labor and delivery unit‑based quality initiatives.
• Maintain clinical practice in accordance with AWHONN, ACOG, NRP, and AAP guidelines.
• Successfully complete labor and delivery unit‑based competency programs as required.

Qualifications / Requirements

• BSN preferred.
• Current MA RN licensure.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP required.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring preferred.
• Current labor and delivery experience required.

Benefits

• Eligible for up to $20,000 in bonuses for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs.

Schedule

• Night shift: 1900‑0700.
• Hours per week: 36.00.
• Weekend requirements: every other weekend (EOW).
• Holiday requirements: every other holiday (EOH).
• On‑call requirements: none.
