About the role
The Registered Clinical Nurse in the TEE lab at UofL Health is responsible for delivering nursing care to patients of varying age groups using the nursing process and nursing practice standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care to patients in the TEE lab under the supervision of a cardiologist.
- Use Nursing Practice Competencies to ensure safe, optimal patient and family centered care health outcomes.
- Use Leadership Competencies to coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with the Care Team.
- Use Professional Profile Competencies to develop professionally as a life-long learner.
- Evaluate care based on evidence, the UofL Health quality model, and patient safety goals.
Requirements
- Ancillary requirements include Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program (required), current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky (required), and Basic Life Saving (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required).
- Preferred qualifications include Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program (preferred) and two years of patient care experience (required), with cardiac experience (preferred).
- Completion of an approved BSN program within one (1) year of hire and completion of the program within three (3) years of hire (required).
