Job Description
The Registered Nurse (Hospital-Based) is responsible for delivering nursing care to patients of various age groups, utilizing the nursing process and nursing practice standards. Key competencies include:
- Nursing Practice Competencies: Intervening to achieve safe, optimal patient and family-centered care health outcomes.
- Leadership Competencies: Coordinating patient care and communicating with the care team.
- Professional Profile Competencies: Developing professionally as a lifelong learner.
- Practice Outcomes Competencies: Evaluating care based on evidence, the University of Louisville Health quality model, and patient safety goals.
Shift Details
This position operates on a Night shift from 7P to 7A.
Shift Requirements
Shift Length: Typically 8-12 hours, with flexibility for shorter shifts based on department needs. Required hours to meet agreed Full-Time Equivalent (FTE).
Overtime: Occasional (Sometimes).
Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must hold a valid nursing license and be eligible for the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), which allows them to work in Kentucky without a separate Kentucky nursing license. UofL Health will accept this compact in place of a Kentucky Nursing License.
