RN Internal Travel Nurse Hospice

About the Role

This is an internal travel nurse position supporting any of our 10 Massachusetts hospice locations: Boston, Fall River, Hyannis, Leominster, Lawrence, Marlborough, Plymouth, Bridgewater, Woburn, and Springfield. Assignment durations vary—from a single day to weeks or months—and include overnight stays with food and hotel stipends plus mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively throughout the company to provide patient care at agencies needing permanent staff.
• Perform initial nursing assessments on new admissions.
• Complete, coordinate, and revise the total plan of care; maintain continuity by collaborating with clinical staff.
• Communicate patient progress regularly to the clinical manager, physician, and care team.
• Develop, prepare, and maintain accurate, timely individualized patient care progress records per care center policies.
• Record pain/symptom management changes and outcomes.
• Educate families on patient condition, needs, and care.
• Make referrals to other hospice disciplines as needed or document rationale for not doing so.
• Perform on-call responsibilities and services as assigned.
• Carry out additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Able to travel 100% of the time throughout the company by plane, train, or automobile.
• Three years of experience as an RN in home health or hospice.
• Current RN license specific to the state(s) of assignment.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.

Pay

$115,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year.
