RN - Inpatient Pediatric OR

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents undergoing surgical procedures.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, techs, and Child Life specialists to ensure safe, patient-centered care throughout the surgical experience.
• Serve as a pediatric circulating nurse which includes 6 OR suites, 2 procedural suites, and 1 hybrid OR.
• Maintain a sterile and safe operating room environment, ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control standards.
• Advocate for pediatric patients and their families, offering emotional support, education, and clear communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Preferred 6 months of relevant clinical experience
• Required Clinical operating room experience

Qualifications

• Registration as a professional nurse in the state of Wisconsin
• CPR certification upon hire
• Acuity based staffing ratios for optimal safety
• Strong shared governance structure which assures every nurse has a voice

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm with weeknight, weekend and holiday on-call and in-house triage shift responsibilities. Hours may vary based on operational needs.
