RN - Inpatient Department Full time Day Shift

About the role

The Registered Nurse plans, directs, organizes, coordinates, and implements all nursing care services for inpatient patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. Ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing and all federal and state standards of care.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, organize, and coordinate nursing care services for inpatient patients.
  • Ensure high-quality, safe patient care in compliance with professional nursing and regulatory standards.
  • Make decisions based on nursing judgment.
  • Prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
  • Perform post-surgical care and assessments.
  • Interpret basic EKG readings.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS and/or PALS preferred or included in education plan.
  • At least 1 year of experience as an RN in a hospital Medical/Surgical or ICU unit (preferred).

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
