About the Role
The Infusion Nurse Supervisor plays a vital leadership role within our outpatient infusion clinic, overseeing daily clinical operations and ensuring the safe, efficient, and compassionate delivery of infusion therapies. This position combines hands-on clinical care with team supervision, quality assurance, and patient coordination in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Works in coordination with the service line director, RN Manager, staff, and clinical care team to support and direct the delivery of care for infusion patients.
- Provides comprehensive clinical supervision and functions as a liaison between the patient/family and the clinical care team.
- Contributes to and participates in "survey readiness" as well as the evaluation and development of service line protocols, standards of care, policies, and procedures guided by evidence-based research literature reviews and clinical practice guidelines.
- Collaborates with the leadership team in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Two (2) years of chemotherapy administration experience working as an outpatient infusion RN in a clinic, physician office, or hospital setting.
- Oncology Ambulatory Infusion Center experience preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and excellent customer service and service recovery skills.
- Previous nurse supervisory experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Current California RN license.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider card required.
- OCN certification preferred.
- Ongoing education of 12 cancer-related continuing nursing education hours annually.
Pay
$57.63 - $84.72
