RN IHA PHC Job 2 or 3-Nursing

About the Role

Accepts responsibility for the overall resident care and staffing. Implements policies and procedures that result in efficient and effective operation of the facility. Ensures standards of Long Term Care are met through involvement in the quality assurance process. Assists with evaluation and supports employee development and training. Responds appropriately during emergency situations. Provides a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.

Consistently demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information to assess residents' needs. Implements the plan of care directed by the physician and communicates pertinent information to other healthcare providers for continuity of care. Supervises care given by staff, assesses its effectiveness, and documents appropriately. Plans and implements care for the entire resident population. Acts as a consistent, fair role model for others.

Acquires and maintains current knowledge and competency in nursing practice while upholding a professional image. Reports to the Director of Nursing as instructed to ensure standards of care are met.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall resident care and staffing.
• Implement and enforce facility policies and procedures.
• Participate in the quality assurance process for Long Term Care standards.
• Support employee development and training.
• Respond to emergency situations effectively.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Assess residents' needs and interpret relevant information.
• Implement physician-directed care plans.
• Communicate with healthcare providers for continuity of care.
• Supervise and evaluate staff care, ensuring effectiveness and proper documentation.
• Plan and implement care for the entire resident population.
• Serve as a role model for staff, demonstrating fairness and consistency.
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and professional competency.
• Report to the Director of Nursing to uphold care standards.

Requirements

• Arkansas state RN license in good standing.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Ability to work with the geriatric population and their families.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and delegation abilities.
• Commitment to fostering teamwork and participating in team-building activities.
• Enthusiasm for serving others and respect for diversity.
• Honest, trustworthy, respectful, dedicated, flexible, loyal, and dependable.

This is a PRN position with varying working hours, authorized for 0.01 hours bi-weekly.
