RN House Supervisor Part Time Day

About the Role

This position is a Part Time role with a 0.6 FTE, working 12-hour Day shifts at Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance, CA. Providence Little Company of Mary is a Magnet® designated hospital, recognized for providing the highest-quality care by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

As a House Supervisor, you will act as a resource to the Nursing Management team regarding overall staffing, scheduling, and budgeting. You will manage Nursing/House Supervisors, staffers, and operations of the Nursing/Staffing Office, Float Pool staff, Monitor Technicians, and the Nursing Administration registry budgets. This role requires in-depth knowledge of staffing, scheduling, and pay policies and procedures, along with the ability to communicate this understanding effectively. You will collaborate with colleagues within the Service Area to foster consistent practices and report to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Responsibilities

• Act as a resource for the Nursing Management team on staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Manage Nursing/House Supervisors, staffers, and operations of the Nursing/Staffing Office.
• Oversee Float Pool staff and Monitor Technicians.
• Maintain Nursing Administration registry budgets.
• Understand and communicate staffing, scheduling, and pay policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster consistent practices within the Service Area.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• California Registered Nurse License (upon hire).
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association (upon hire).
• 1 year of Charge Nurse or leadership experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $68.94 - $108.84 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
