RN - Hospice

Responsibilities

• Work with patients, their families, and other health care professionals during the final stages of patients' lives.
• Provide care in private homes, residential care facilities, nursing centers, and other hospice care environments.
• Serve as a supervisor for licensed vocational/practical nurses and nursing aides.
• Show compassion and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Show keen observation skills and identify changes in patients' conditions.
• Alert doctors and others when necessary regarding changes in patients' conditions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Valid state driver’s license, automobile liability insurance, and reliable transportation.
• At least one year of clinical experience is preferred.
• Previous home health or hospice experience is preferred.
