About the role
We’re currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.
This 38-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging in age from adults to geriatrics. The conditions within the scope of service include but are not limited to:
- Medical Oncology
- High Dose Chemotherapy with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant
- CAR T Cell Therapy
- Administration of Chemotherapy, Biotherapy, and Monoclonal Antibodies
- Surgical Oncology
- Gynecologic Oncology
- Administration of Radiation Therapy
- Hematologic Disorders (Sickle Cell Crisis, Aplastic Anemia, Thalassemia, Thrombocytopenia)
- Continuous Cardiac Monitoring (Telemetry)
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional care and improve patient outcomes in an oncology/hematology setting
- Participate in a strong shared governance model featuring unit-based councils that empower nurses
- Engage in evidence-based practice, research, and innovations in nursing practice
- Collaborate inter-professionally to ensure a culture of safety and quality outcomes
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN license
- BLS certification (must obtain within 30 days of starting if not already certified)
