RN - Full Time - Nights - Weekend - Med/Surg

Role Overview

Provides patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring accountability, confidentiality, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Involves patients and families in care decisions
• Assesses educational needs
• Documents care plans with goals and outcomes
• Performs patient handoffs
• Communicates effectively with team members
• Participates in quality improvement activities
• Facilitates communication during rounds
• Maintains current knowledge through unit communications
• Interprets diagnostic data
• Delegates tasks to unlicensed staff and guides care
• Participates in professional development and hospital committees
• Performs patient rounding
• Manages diagnostic data
• May be required to work varied shifts including call or weekends

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• Additional certifications (ACLS or PALS) based on department requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching and bending
