RN FT Temp $60/hr

About the role

Oasis Behavioral Health in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) for 12-hour day and night shifts. The position is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a fixed rate of $60/hour and is not benefits-eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families.
• Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed appropriately.
• Accurately administer medications and document controlled substance medication administration.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately.
• Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, co-workers, and others involved in patient treatment.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or eligibility to practice in accordance with state requirements.
• One year of nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance abuse settings.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available).

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Experience working in a behavioral health setting preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of universal precautions.
• Effective communication skills.
• Therapeutic rapport building.
