RN FT Nights - Bonus Behavioral Health

About the role

River Place Behavioral Health, a service of Ochsner Health System, offers state-of-the-art psychiatric care for adults dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mental health issues. Located in LaPlace, Louisiana, it's conveniently situated 20 minutes west of New Orleans and 40 minutes east of Baton Rouge.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various health conditions.
• Provide nursing care and services according to state and facility regulations.
• Transcribe and document physicians’ orders accurately.
• Accurately administer medications and document controlled substance administrations.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain therapeutic rapport with patients while respecting professional boundaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, co-workers, and others involved in patient treatment.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of employment.
• One year of nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance use settings.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training provided).

Pay

$15k bonus for full-time night shift work. Day shift differential is $4/hr, weekend day shift differential is $3/hr, and weekend night shift differential is $7/hr.

Schedule

Shifts available include full-time, part-time, and PRN options. Nights shifts are available, with every other weekend availability.
