About the role
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director, the Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. At times, the nurse will assist physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
Responsibilities
- Implement all physician orders
- Ensure continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients
- Continually evaluate patients' conditions
- Provide patient safety, comfort, and privacy
- Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique
- Provide comprehensive care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation
- Conduct assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patient and family discharge preparation
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current CA Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- ASC experience a plus
- Good communication and human relations skills
- Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative
- Thorough knowledge of all phases of perioperative process, including surgical procedures and anesthesia implications

Pay
Hourly Range: $38.03 - $47.54 (based on experience)
