RN - Float Pool, PRN

About the Role

Join our close-knit Float Pool team at Piedmont Walton, where you'll care for a wide range of adult patients in our inpatient units. Our inpatient division consists of Medical Surgical and ICU with the opportunity to assist the emergency department. Our nurses are at the forefront of advanced care, managing complex needs. Intensive Care has a 2:1 patient ratio and Medical Surgical has a 6:1 ratio. Our team emphasizes clinical excellence through critical thinking, prioritization, and teamwork. We take pride in hourly rounding, bedside shift reporting, and a culture rooted in professionalism and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
• Maintains standards of practice and coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Requirements

• Current Georgia State Licensure as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
• No experience required; new graduates of a nursing program are eligible (Required).
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting (Preferred).
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions (Preferred).
