Schedule
8:30 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday

Responsibilities
- Perform the duties of a licensed registered nurse for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities
- Maintain health records and disseminate proactive health information to staff and families
- Train staff in OSHA, first aid, and medication support
- Lead the team in health and safety initiatives
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention in accordance with AHRC, ADS policies, OPWDD regulations, and professional RN standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews
- Understand the Scope of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses and required supervision for LPNs and non-licensed staff (e.g., AMAP)
- Supervise staff providing care, including AMAPs and LPNs
- Build relationships and support ongoing health in a non-clinical setting
Requirements
- New York State License as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- CPR certified (AHRC can provide training if needed)
- Willing to oversee additional Brooklyn Day Programs
Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus.
