RN (F/T) Day Program

Salary: $72,000–$83,000 per year depending on experience

Schedule

8:30 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday

Locations

• 2211 Church Ave, Brooklyn
• 355 Kings Highway, Brooklyn

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of a licensed registered nurse for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities
• Maintain health records and disseminate proactive health information to staff and families
• Train staff in OSHA, first aid, and medication support
• Lead the team in health and safety initiatives
• Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention in accordance with AHRC, ADS policies, OPWDD regulations, and professional RN standards
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews
• Understand the Scope of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses and required supervision for LPNs and non-licensed staff (e.g., AMAP)
• Supervise staff providing care, including AMAPs and LPNs
• Build relationships and support ongoing health in a non-clinical setting

Requirements

• New York State License as a Registered Nurse
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• CPR certified (AHRC can provide training if needed)
• Willing to oversee additional Brooklyn Day Programs

Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus.
