Employment Type: Full time, 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), three shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN), within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, provides care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. The RN collaborates in a team-based environment, is accountable for delivering patient care utilizing the Nursing Process, and operates within the standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, and promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives while exhibiting professionalism within the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® model.
  • Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients using evidence-based practice.
  • Collaborates with patients and families to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual, and educational components.
  • Accurately communicates pertinent information to team members in a timely manner and keeps patients/families updated.
  • Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and completely in accordance with documentation standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • For casual RNs, 2 years of experience is required.
  • All new graduate nurses with less than one year of clinical experience must participate in the Nurse Residency Program.
