- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.

- Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows-based programs.

- Performs accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills, multi-tasking, and a professional bedside manner.
- Knowledgeable in assigned areas of patient care including health promotion and maintenance.
- EKG knowledge (based on patient population; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements).
- Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record.
- Previous EKG Interpretation Class.
- EPIC.
Education
- Associate's of Nursing [Required].
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred].
Work Experience
- 2+ yr of RN ER experience in an acute care setting within 12 months [Required].
Licenses And Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required].
- Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) [Preferred].
- Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS) [Preferred].
- Basic EKG Certification (BEKG) [Preferred].
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required].
- Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS) [Preferred].
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) [Preferred].
- NonViolent Crisis Intervention Program [Preferred].
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program - Advanced (NRP-A) [Preferred].
- Instructor PALS (PALS-INSTR) [Preferred].
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification [Preferred].
- Trauma Nurse course Certification (TNCC) [Preferred].

Pay Range
$31.53 - $52.24
