Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses the patient based on their medical condition.
• Knows and administers ordered medications as prescribed.
• Provides care appropriate to the patient's condition and age, including basic self-care activities.
• Formulates a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluates its effectiveness.
• Uses nursing knowledge to perform treatments and provide services.
• Communicates and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient care.
• Aids physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Determines and addresses psychosocial needs of patients and families, and communicates with social services for both hospital and post-discharge needs.
• Promotes cost-effectiveness and reduces risks of unnecessary harm through health care practices.
• Prioritizes patient care effectively and efficiently.

Specifications

• Experience: Minimum required - Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Preferred/Desired - BLS certification within 14 days of hire, ACLS/PALS specialty certification.

• Licenses: Minimum required - RN.

• Education: Minimum required - Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Preferred/Desired - Graduate of an accredited nursing program with additional training or certifications.

• Special Skills: Minimum required - Computer literacy. Preferred/Desired - Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS.
