Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in the Endoscopy/GI Services department for pre-procedure, procedure, and post-procedure patients.
- Assist with and circulate during endoscopic procedures, including ERCP, upper/lower endoscopy, EUS, and SpyGlass procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures and monitor recovery after moderate sedation.
- Perform patient assessments, medication administration, IV management, and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure process.
- Recover patients in the post-anesthesia/prep area and monitor vital signs and recovery progress.
- Utilize Epic EMR, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems for documentation and care delivery.
- Collaborate with physicians, procedural staff, and multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality GI care.
- Participate in required weekend rotation and holiday coverage as scheduled.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of recent RN experience, preferably in Endoscopy/GI Services.
- Strong experience with: ERCP procedures, upper and lower endoscopy, EUS procedures, SpyGlass procedures, pre-op and post-op patient care, moderate sedation recovery.
- Experience working in procedure rooms with the ability to circulate and assist with basic technical cases.
- Must have BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Required Epic EMR experience.
- Telemetry experience preferred.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM schedule.
- Must follow facility guidelines including no artificial nails/extenders during direct patient care.
