RN - Endoscopy Center

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care for individuals undergoing endoscopy procedures, including prep, intra-procedure, and recovery phases for colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. They assess patients upon admission, develop and modify care plans based on ongoing evaluations, and ensure accurate documentation of nursing interventions. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, monitoring and sedating during procedures, assisting with anesthesia as needed, and caring for patients in recovery. Working collaboratively with the healthcare team, the RN delegates tasks to unlicensed staff, maintains safety standards, and offers patient education. Qualifications include a valid nursing license, BLS certification, ACLS certification within three months, and a nursing degree.
