About the Role

Provides rapid assessment, triage, and nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries in the emergency department. Prioritizes care based on acuity and collaborates with the emergency team to stabilize and treat patients efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Performs rapid triage and assessment of patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Administers medications, IV fluids, and treatments based on physician orders and protocols.
• Responds to trauma activations, codes, and other emergent situations.
• Monitors patients for changes in condition and escalates care as needed.
• Coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges in a fast-paced environment.
• Provides patient and family education and emotional support during acute events.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Minimum 1-2 years of emergency or critical care nursing experience (Preferred)

Qualifications & Certifications

• Current RN license in state of practice (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (Required)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (Preferred)
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification (Preferred)
