About the role
Join a dynamic team of over 40,000 colleagues organization-wide and work as a Rock Star RN in our Level I Trauma Center at Hartford Hospital. The Emergency Department is one of the busiest in Connecticut, treating patients with the highest acuity in the region. The department includes 109 beds plus a 19-bed ED Observation Unit, serving an average of 109,000 patients annually. Hartford Hospital is home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI), recognized as one of the most advanced medical simulation training centers globally. The ED also operates Life Star, Connecticut’s first Critical Care helicopter service. Our ED RNs are recipients of the prestigious National Lantern Award for Excellence in Nursing.

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- BSN degree required; ASN/ADN RNs with relevant experience may be considered
- Current Connecticut RN license required prior to start date
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire
Qualifications
- Previous acute care RN experience preferred, though new graduate RNs passionate about Emergency Medicine are welcomed and encouraged to apply
