RN - Emergency Department, Evening Shift

About the role

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in a Level III trauma center with a fully accredited Stroke Center and an 18-bed Cardiac Observation Unit. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, paramedics, and support staff, to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across all age groups.
• Maintain standards of practice and coordinate care activities within organizational policies.
• Manage critically ill patients and provide patient discharge education.
• Participate in a dynamic team environment, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• New graduates eligible; hospital experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the state or multistate license.
• Required certifications include BLS; additional certifications may be required based on specialty, such as ACLS, PALS, or chemotherapy/Biotherapy.
• Specialized certifications required for certain units, including NICU, Women’s Services, Surgical Services, and others, with completion within specified timeframes.
