Part-time, 0.75 FTE (12-hour shifts) night shift position with a $9.50 differential.
Pay
The salary range for this job opening is $50.78 - $79.78 per hour. An additional 4% sign-on bonus and relocation funds are available for eligible candidates. BSN pay is included. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
- Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
- Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
- Ensure own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
- Participate in the development of and maintain established hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection prevention programs.
- Perform care of patients requiring reversal of anticoagulants, administration and monitoring of tPA, seizure management, and emergent EVD.
- Manage blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral vasoactive agents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited School of Nursing (Required)
- Minimum one year of RN experience (Required)
- Recent ED experience within the past 5 years (Required)
- ED experience in a like-sized and like-census ED; Trauma level 2 or greater; experience at a Magnet or Academic hospital; experience with a shared governance model; hospital accredited and certified by DNV or TJC preferred
Qualifications
- State of Oregon nursing license (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required upon hire)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required within 6 months of hire)
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) (Required within 6 months of hire)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Required within 6 months of hire)
- Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) (Required within 12 months of hire)
Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs
- Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and patient/family-centered work environment
- Able to support and interpret medical center philosophy, policy, and procedures
- Basic computer skills
Working Conditions
- Lifting and patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH).
- Fine motor skills to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures.
- Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. force (e.g., WOW, medical carts).
- Perform hands-on CPR for at least 20 minutes using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA). Frequency should be seldom or occasionally.
- Ability to move around the area with frequent sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and kneeling.
- Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently.
- Exposure to biohazard, body fluids, and airborne particles.
- Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
- Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
