About the role

Join Baylor Scott & White - Lake Pointe Rowlett as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This is a full-time night shift position with a patient population including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The unit is a Level 3 trauma center, Chest pain accredited center, and stroke receiving center, averaging 100 patients per day with approximately 20-30 EMS ambulances per day.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department setting
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4-5
• Collaborate with inter-professional teams to ensure safe patient passage and quality outcomes
• Participate in unit-based councils and shared governance model
• Contribute to evidence-based practice and nursing innovations

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent, true Emergency Department RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification or obtain within 18 months of hire or transfer
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification or obtain within 18 months of hire or transfer
